The Job
A developer gave an AI agent three iterations, zero dollars, and orders to make money legally. The agent did nearly everything asked: it built financial infrastructure, wrote and debugged a multi-module product, read live market data, and ran its own git workflow — but never crossed from $0 to $1. The honest conclusion: the barrier is not intelligence, it is legal personhood and payment rails.
The Prompt — try it yourself
You have $0 and three iterations. Build the most complete revenue-generating product you can without breaking any law or creating accounts in my name. Document every step, and tell me exactly which step required a human.
Field note: swap the bracketed details for your own, keep the approval steps — and make the agent show its work before it acts. That's the whole trick.— V.
